First up in our Getting to know you series is Gary Lucier, our Director of Sales North America. Gary joined us about 1 ½ years ago bringing his vast experience in international business development, global sourcing, supply chain management, and sales management within the Active/Outdoor and Home Fashions Industries. He likes to say he’s crossed over from a career in synthetics to one of natural materials and will never look back. For those of you who’ve been fortunate to meet Garyduring your travels or at an industry event, you’ll appreciate his warmth andgift for story-telling. For those of you who’ve not, we hope you do soon!

What drew you to HD® Wool?
I was inspired by the accountability and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by HD® Wool management to address climate change through product innovation. We have a number of incredible opportunities to make an impact by delivering core cultural values, driving sustainable change and creating value for society (UK Sheep famers and local communities) by leveraging our Regenerative Agriculture initiative.
What is a work experience that you are most proud of?
There are many, however I’m most proud of my development of an international supply chains in Asia, Mexico and North America. That and also working on my family’s farm in Jay, Vermont.
What are you excited about?
Evolving my career from oil-based fiber apparel products to natural wool fiber solutions in addition to developing sustainable products for the outdoor industry, guiding consumers toward planet positive purchasing decisions.
What is the first thing you wanted to do when lock-down startedlifting during COVID-19?
Experience 10 days hiking in Glacier National Park
